Another portion will be used to cover essential marketing expenses to help us reach as many readers as possible. This project is a labor of love and a heartfelt contribution to the world—our way of giving back and sharing knowledge that can empower others to live healthier, more purposeful lives. We didn’t write this book to make a profit—we wrote it to make a difference.

The Cycle Effect
The Cycle Effect is a nonprofit that empowers underserved girls ages 10–18 through mountain biking. But it is more than just about sport; biking becomes a tool for mentoring, building confidence, supporting mental and physical health, and fostering community. With programs in Eagle, Summit, Mesa, and Routt counties in Colorado, the organization removes barriers by providing bikes, gear, bilingual coaching, transportation, and low-cost access. Donations support coaches, equipment, race entry, fitness gear, and healthy snacks. The Cycle Effect’s core mission focuses on three pillars: physical wellness, mentorship and community, and creating brighter futures—helping girls stay active, engaged in school, and inspired to reach their goals.
Over its decade of work, The Cycle Effect has evolved to support over 1,000 riders each year across multiple Colorado counties.
The Cycle Effect shows how mountain biking can be more than recreation — it’s a tool for personal development, social connection, and community transformation.
The cycle effect is highlighted in nonprofit directories and community platforms, such as GreatNonprofits and ColoradoGives, where participants and supporters share positive experiences.
Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine
The Physicians Committee is a nonprofit organization leading a transformative shift in the way chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, obesity, and cancer are treated. Backed by the influence of over 17,000 physicians, they advocate for prevention over prescription—empowering patients to take control of their health through nutrition and lifestyle changes.
Since their founding in 1985, they have been at the forefront of a new vision for medical research by developing and adopting modern, effective alternatives to animal testing in both research and education.
Their team of physicians, dietitians, and scientists collaborates with policymakers, industry leaders, the medical community, media, and the public to build a healthier, more compassionate future for both people and animals.
Independent charity evaluators like Charity Navigator give PCRM high marks for accountability and financial transparency—often awarding four-star ratings, which indicate responsible stewardship of donor funds.
